It really depends on the area and thickness of the fat deposit being treated. You will start to see results 4-6 weeks after your first treatment but most patients need 2-4 treatments to achieve the desired results. It can be up to 6 treatments for much thicker areas.

Injection site reactions are Kybella’s most common side effect. 

Pain, swelling, and numbness of the injected area are the most common reactions that people experience.  Other possible injection site reactions could include:

• Redness

• Warmth

• Skin hardening

• Itchiness

• Tingling 

• Skin growths

• Skin tightness

These injection site reactions typically get better within a few days to a few weeks of your treatment.

Your Kybella treatment will be quick! You'll be in and out of the office in 30 minutes or less!

Kybella is no more painful than getting botox injections. You will feel a slight burning sensation and we will provide numbing before the treatment is done!

Kybella is permanent due to the fact that it actually kills fat cells and they no longer can accumulate fat.

However, if you gain significant weight, you could start to see fat return in the treated area.

The most noticeable swelling will last 2-3 days, so we do recommend getting your appointment on a Friday. By Monday, most people won't even notice you've had a procedure. All of the swelling will be gone within 2-3 weeks and your treatments will be 4 weeks apart.  Consecutive treatments will see less swelling.
